By late 2025, Stonefire Grill was seeing the same traffic and sales pressure that was hitting restaurant brands across the industry. Economic uncertainty, rising costs, and consumers pulling back on discretionary spending were all weighing on the business. "We knew we had to do something pretty drastic," said Jennifer Weerheim, CMO. "We needed to make a value offering that people would actually respond to."

In December 2025, Stonefire Grill launched an aggressive value pricing program, reducing prices across meal deals, their most popular packages, and kids meals, and directing promotional spend toward the Stimulus Package and Family Four Pack to drive traffic during one of their busiest months of the year.
Orders per day climbed 10.9% across every channel. "We gained sales, we gained traffic, it worked. People loved it," Jennifer said. "But we gave up a lot at the same time. And what we gave up was our profits." Using Bikky, the team tracked guest return rates and reorder behavior week over week, and monitored where the margin concession was hitting hardest. By spring, the data made clear that the pricing structure needed to be adjusted — the volume was there, but the cost was too high to sustain.
Bikky showed the margin concession was concentrated in a handful of higher-cost items, giving Stonefire Grill a clear starting point. For Phase 2 of the value pricing plan, Stonefire Grill tiered their meal deal pricing and restored the Stimulus Package to its original price point. Through the transition, trackable guests held flat at +0.3% while average check climbed 7.2%, recovering the margin without losing the traffic they had built.
With margin recovered and traffic holding, Stonefire Grill turned their attention toward better-margin offers. The Meals for 2 offer had been running without any promotion for about eight months, and guests were ordering it consistently.
"Meals for 2 had just lived in the background, but guests still ordered them, even without any intentional promotion behind it," Ziad said. "So we thought, why not do the same thing we did for the Stimulus and Family Four Pack."
For Phase 3, Stonefire Grill reintroduced Meals for 2 with increased digital, social, and in-restaurant promotion. They also restored the Family Four Pack to its original price point, and reduced media spend on the individual meal deals. Daily offer margin hit a program high of $23,175, up 6.8% over Phase 2.
Across all three phases, Bikky showed that brand traffic, revenue, and guest counts each held within 1.5% while margin preference shifted toward better-cost offers. The program generated demand, recovered the margin it cost, and is now growing margin without asking guests to pay more.
Bikky gave Stonefire Grill visibility into how individual components of the program were performing as well. The dessert inclusion — a slice of cheesecake or carrot cake — was tracking as one of the most popular elements of the meal deal. Guests were ordering it consistently, eating it in the restaurant or taking it home. Seeing that volume in the data, Stonefire Grill made sure operations were keeping pace. "Every single cake that comes out has to be perfect," Ziad said, "because these are getting ordered way more."
The program also changed how Stonefire Grill thinks about their menu more broadly. Using Bikky to identify which items are driving repeat visits and which aren't, the team has been able to remove items they might have otherwise kept out of caution.
"We know what brings people back. We know what makes people not come back. Bikky has given us the confidence to say, yeah, they're not coming back for it — and to make menu decisions accordingly.
With the holiday season ahead, Stonefire Grill is focused on sustaining the gains they've built and figuring out what comes next. "Because we work for a small boutique brand, we have to do it all," Jennifer said. "We didn't have an analyst to tell us how our campaigns and programs performed, and what to do next. Bikky has become that for us."
