Blaze Pizza is a leading fast-casual brand known for its artisanal, customizable pizzas that cook in just 180 seconds. As Blaze has scaled to roughly 240 U.S locations, having data to truly understand their guests has become critical to their growth.
Using Bikky, Blaze gained visibility into guest demographics, visit frequency, and guest lifecycle that changed how they support franchisees, understand performance of marketing campaigns, and make decisions across the brand.

For years, Blaze's franchise business consultants showed up to quarterly reviews with the same data: sales, order volume, and average check. It was enough to describe what happened, but not nearly enough to explain why, or to prescribe what to do next.
"These would be listening sessions," explained Chad Sims, Sr. Director, Omnichannel & Loyalty Marketing at Blaze Pizza. "We’d say, ‘Hey, what do you think is hurting in your marketplace?’ And then we would use that insight to push them in the right direction."
Without deeper visibility into guest behavior, the conversations were largely reactive and inconsistent across locations. Blaze wanted to give franchise partners real, data-backed answers: Who is coming in? Why are they coming back — or not? And what should we actually do about it?
Blaze rebuilt its quarterly business reviews around Bikky data, creating standardized, benchmarked decks that walks each operator from system-level sales trends, down to their specific franchise demographic mix, guest lifecycle composition, and channel performance.
"The presentation begins with high-level sales and order volume, drops down to channels, and then we start doing more specific work," Chad described.
"Here's where we see you're losing demographically, here's where your stores don't align with the system, and here are certain menu items or strategies we want you to try in order to engage your guests."
Franchisees who had never seen lifecycle or demographic data were now engaged with their own numbers — tracking targets, asking sharper questions, and showing up to conversations ready to act.
One of the most impactful data points they used in the franchisee QBRs was in the guest profile data itself. Blaze learned that nearly half of their guests are first-time visitors. This finding surprised franchisees and quickly changed how the whole team thinks about engagement.
"A lot of franchisees are like, that can't be right," Chad said. "But knowing that so many guests are first-time, you have to introduce them to the brand. You have to be more welcoming. You have to ask them to come back."
Demographic data also reframed how Blaze talks about its offer strategy. A bundle that had always been positioned as a discount deal turned out to attract a 35-to-45-year-old, family-centered cohort. Being able to show franchisees exactly which demographic each offer attracts and how those guests behave has been key to building buy-in across the system.
"We told franchisees not to think about it as giving away discounted pizza. We're getting a whole family in — that's now how we're talking about it, and this is who we're targeting when we put that bundle together."
From franchisee conversations and marketing decisions to strategy across menu, operations, and store development, data now drives how Blaze runs their business
Bikky has also unlocked analysis that simply wasn't possible before. With Bikky's Data Assistant, Chad's team can now run price-volume-mix breakdowns — understanding whether a sales change was driven by price, transaction volume, or guest mix — in a single conversation rather than a full quarter of manual work. That clarity now feeds weekly performance reviews and paid media briefs, giving the team and their agency a level of specificity they didn't have before.
Looking ahead, Blaze is applying the same approach to new store performance, using demographic mismatch analysis to understand who a location's guests actually are and build a hyper-local engagement strategy if a store isn't gaining traction as expected.
"This level of guest insight and analysis was something only very large brands could do. Bikky is making it accessible to mid-scale brands — and that's changing everything."
